A lavender jade pixiu sits at the centre of this southern red agate strand, ringed by green jade, citrine, blue lace agate and a faceted amethyst. The pixiu is a Chinese guardian figure — part lion, part dragon — traditionally worn to draw wealth toward the wearer and keep it there.
This is a lucky-charm piece rather than a plain strand, and the mix of five stones is deliberate: red for the body, green for growth, blue for calm, violet for clarity, gold for the wish.
Materials: 6mm southern red agate, 12mm lavender jade pixiu, green jade, citrine, blue lace agate and amethyst spacers, gold-tone plated findings.
Care: keep the pixiu away from hard surfaces so the carving does not chip. Store flat.
Strung and knotted by hand in Ganzhou, China.
